So some guy on Hentai-Foundry asked if there was a tutorial on how to do shading in flash like this.

I don't know if there is one... but now there is... LEARN HOW NOT TO SUCK WITH THESE VIDEOS.

BTW, anybody got any Ideas for a follow up game for Contrast. The Engine I built for this game is deceptively complex and malleable, I'm not sure what to do with it. And Over the past few days I did nothing but strengthen those aspects of it... and fixed bugs. I can pretty much do anything with it.

As long as the game is a 2D game with varying level structures of course.

why everyone doesnt use filters that much is because they make everything lag alot though.

as long as its just a still image is fine.

but the minute you animate with all these filter nonsense, youre in for a choppy time.

Hopefully no ones dumb enough to try to animate like that. How ever you could just export out the filters as a bitmap and use that instead of the filters. that would be much faster.
