Furries might be cool until you actually start thinking about it. They're covered in fur, so no matter where you go, you're getting a mouth-full of hair. They probably smell like shit, and when they take a shit, they probably get poop all stuck in their butt hair. I'd imagine theres a lot of dander too, so you'd probably be allergic to them too. There really isn't a single god damn reason why you would want to fuck a fox/cat/cow/lion/deer/aardvark woman.

There absolutely nothing wrong with anthropomorphic animal characters.

But when I see what is supposed to be a voluptuous women covered in fur, with a tail, paws, snout, etc., it's a little confusing. And when that is the only kind of art the person makes ('fersona'? what?) it seems like a fetish almost. Is she saying "fuck me" or "pet me"? I mean hey do what makes you happy if it does not cause others harm, but it really is weird. No not "different". Weird. It is a large drift from the norm of sexuality with negative connotations.

You don't really get it. To fairly judge a picture, you should obviously involve personal taste. If there was a portrait of your mother being spit roasted by greasy drug addicts, it could be on par with the fuckin' Mona Lisa but you'd still vote it down due to PERSONAL TASTE. Or distaste in this case. It's unfortunate that alot of people hate furries, but at the end of the day, there has to be judgement on the subject matter aswell as the talent of the artist.

Good point, I don't mind furries at all and I happen to like anthromorphic characters but it dosn't its that big a deal. First time i've heard of this problem on the art portal though.

And seriously, I would prefer the AP to not have furry shit on there.
The biggest issue is that a WIDE majority of users aren't furries, and if folks are putting up various sexual fetish things, then it opens the door to them all being fair game. I'm fine with like tame furry art showing up, but some of the stuff shouldn't be posted for the general world to see.

Keep that shit on the d/l.

If I wanted furry art, I'd hit up FA or something.

I'm not going to defend the people who upvote hentai and downvote furry, because they're hypocrites, but in essense, as much as I'm not going to downvote anything clean, no one is forcing you to draw animals standing up, you know? You don't have to post them to a neutral website, just as much as they don't really need to abuse you. Just learn it is a choice to draw like that, and they have the choice to be dicks. The moment you start acting like they're persecuting you for 'who you are', and start feeling like you're being attacked on all sides, they win. If you remember they are choosing to be dicks to you, then you can react in a manner that makes sense, judging that no one is expecting you to make an instant response anyway.

But its a valid point, i mean it should be about the detail fo the art, if its look profession or like a 1 year old has drawn it. I mean me personaly i like anthro art. the reason i like it is cuz im a fan of all art forms, be it manga, real life, fantasy etc. if its an amazing piece of work vote on it cuz of the skill shown.

Nobody seems to care that you have people who like torture for pleasure, and people with other fetishes wayyyy beyond what people think of as "right", yet everyone targets furries, and seems to complain about them the most.
